Reflection
Sheep will not drink from rushing water — they only drink from still, calm pools. The Good Shepherd knows this and leads His flock to water they can actually receive. God does not force rest on us, but He does create conditions for it, and sometimes He makes us lie down when we would otherwise run on empty. His leading is gentle, His provision is perfectly suited to what we actually need.
