“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth.”
Matthew 7:7–8
Reflection
Jesus used three escalating images — asking, seeking, knocking — each implying greater persistence and engagement. Prayer is not a vending machine but a relationship. The Father's answer is not always immediate, but His promise is that genuine, persistent seeking is never wasted. Every honest prayer is heard by a Father who loves to give good gifts to His children.
Today's Prayer
“Father, I come to You today asking, seeking, and knocking — thank You that You always hear and always respond in love.”
