โHe hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?โ
Micah 6:8
Reflection
Micah stripped Israel's religion down to its essentials when it had become cluttered with ritual and performance. God is not impressed by elaborate ceremonies performed by people living unjustly. What He is looking for is far simpler and far more demanding: lives marked by justice toward others, tenderness in every interaction, and a posture of humility before Him. This is both the summary of the law and the description of a transformed life.
Today's Prayer
โLord, help me do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with You today โ not just in church, but in every ordinary moment.โ
