Solomon's wisdom here cuts against our deepest instinct, which is to figure things out ourselves before consulting God. "All thine heart" means no reserved compartments — no areas where we trust our own analysis more than His guidance. The promise is stunning: acknowledge Him in every part of life, and He personally directs the path. This is not a vague hope; it is a navigational promise.
