โFinally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.โ
Ephesians 6:10โ11
Reflection
Paul wrote this from a Roman prison, chained to a soldier whose equipment he used as a spiritual object lesson. Every piece of Roman armor had a counterpart in God's provision: truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word. The key phrase is "be strong in the Lord" โ the strength is His, not ours. We wear His armor, fight in His power, and stand in His victory.
Today's Prayer
โLord, clothe me in Your armor today โ let me stand firm in Your strength, not my own.โ
