“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”
Isaiah 26:3
Reflection
Isaiah's word for "perfect peace" in Hebrew is shalom shalom — a doubled word for emphasis, meaning wholeness, completeness, unbroken well-being. This peace is not the absence of trouble but the presence of God in the middle of it. The condition is a mind "stayed" on Him, like a ship's anchor dropped into the bedrock of God's character rather than drifting in circumstance.

Today's Prayer
“Lord, anchor my mind to You today so Your shalom guards my heart against every storm.”
