Reflection
The psalmist describes a "secret place" — an intimate, sheltered position available only to those who actively draw near. It is not a hiding place from responsibility, but a sanctuary of security in the middle of life's storms. The shadow of the Almighty falls over those who choose to stay close. The farther we drift, the more exposed we feel; the nearer we draw, the more covered we are.
