Reflection
Hours before the cross, Jesus distilled His entire teaching into a single command: love one another as I have loved you. The standard He set was His own self-giving love — not affection based on how people treat us, but a deliberate choice to seek another's good regardless. When the world looks at the church and sees that kind of love, Jesus says, they will know we belong to Him.
